Here’s what we’re reading:

“Transcendent vocals… While still rooted in folk, Alexis incorporates… synths and quick-tempo drums that make her more comparable to Sharon Van Etten than Emmylou Harris.”
–Jasmine Albertson, KEXP, July 22, 2020

“Undeniably powerful vocals and lyrics.”
–Megan Burns, Brightest Young Things, August 18, 2020

“Stunning voice… Breaking into the national scene… The songs are personally vulnerable and bring a broader context to living bravely, during fearful times.”
–Talkhouse, August 20, 2020

“[One of] five to discover: acts you need to know.”
–Jacob Uitti, American Songwriter, July 6, 2020

“Shouldn’t be missed… Alexis’ voice has always been a powerful and evocative instrument, and she finds a fine foil here in the instrumental and production expertise of Conor and Ian Bourgal. The arresting “Compass” floats in a lush, electronic-folk landscape of sound, while the soulful “Moon” situates Alexis’ vocals around a hypnotic, keyboard-led groove.”
–Collin Estes, Colorado Springs Indy, August 5, 2020

“Xanthe Alexis, pierces the heart with emotion and unmistakable conviction. She is otherworldly; transcending mind, body, music and soul.”
–Chuck DeFlippo, NYS Music, June 17, 2019

“Powerful, prophetic, determined… a rising star in the national Americana scene.”
–Matthew Gutierrez, Santa Fe Reporter, September 17, 2019

“A remarkably vulnerable voice.”
